‘Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles’ is the comedy-horror-adventure film by the come backing Erik Matti who made his last movie in 2006, stars Dingdong Dantes, Lovi Poe, Janice de Belen and Joey Marquez.
The movie is the first Filipino film that is shot entirely on green screen using the latest digital computer technology.
Matti started filming the film in August, 2011 because of its special effects and being a perfectionist, he wants a film that is your money’s worth and world class.
The film tackles the Visayan aswang tiktik. Tiktik is a crow-like bird that emits shrill and eerie ‘tik-tik’ sound when it is hungry, and with its human host, it transforms into a bloodthirsty aswang.
This CGI (computer generated images) film is an all Filipino work that can pit with the Hollywood style of making CGI films. The producer who is the lead star of the film, Dingdong Dantes, said that though the film is costly to make, he has no regrets producing it and wants to five Filipino viewers a chance to see how Filipinos can be world class too.
